The Club Newsletter  -  August 2010

Hello Cruisers,

As I write this, it is mid-August.
Summer is going way too fast.

Before I get into the event announcements, I need to make another

kind of announcement.  After a few years as my assistant director

and then Co-Director of the Badger State Cruisers, Steve Peters

has decided to leave his post as Co-Director and leave Badger State

Cruisers completely.  The reasons for his departure will not be

explained here, but he has been considering this for some time.

I will continue to carry on with the Badger State Cruisers, keeping the

website up-to-date, sending the monthly newsletter, keeping you updated

on events of the Badger State Cruisers (and other clubs), and of course,

planning activities led by the Badger State Cruisers.  I look forward

to cruising with you again, at a Badger State Cruisers event or another.

This coming Sunday is the annual car show at Ewald Auto in

Franklin.  It is located at 6319 S. 108th Street, Franklin, WI 53132.

The show is from 9:00 AM to 2:30 PM.

As you know from a recent e-mail, I have postponed the Fall Colors

Cruise (mid-October).  I will be trying to plan an event for the first weekend

in November.  I believe the second weekend is the Hartford Christmas

parade.  Fall colors will most likely be gone, but we can still cruise and

have fun.

If you are (or were) a member of the Badger State Cruisers, and need to

renew, please do so.  If you  are not yet a member of Badger State

Cruisers, please consider becoming one.  There are a some benefits of

membership.  Please note: Now that Steve Peters is no longer with the

club, renewals and new memberships must be mailed to me.  My address

is at the bottom of the membership form, accessible from the Badger State

Cruisers web site.

A quick reminder. . . . Big, full-year calendars are available from the main

page. They are PDF files, showing the entire year at once, to help you plan

your PT Cruiser events throughout the year.  There is a horizontal one for

the wall, or if you prefer, a vertical one suitable for hanging on a door.

If you take the file to a FedEx Kinkos, they can print it for about $5.

Check the events page of the Badger State Cruisers web site for more

events (not hosted by the Badger State Cruisers), and go to the "Club

Links" page to see what else other clubs around us are doing. Some

information is becoming available, or you an contact the club if an event

interests you.

If you know of other events where we can participate (parades, car shows,

etc.)  please let us know, and we  will help spread the word here.  And come

to the parades and events, too.  It's great to meet other PT people, and see
the PTs they love.

I hope to see you at events,

Randy Geipel
